- 01Cosmetic Brow Tattoo: Are You a Good Candidate? Cosmetic brow tattooing can be a beautiful, confidence-boosting option for many people. Most clients are great candidates. That said, everyone’s skin heals differently, and some conditions simply require a little extra care, timing, or a different brow technique to achieve the best results. Reading this section helps us keep you safe and ensures your brows heal beautifully. You’re generally a good candidate if you: • Are 18 years of age or older • Have healthy skin in the brow area • Are able to follow aftercare instructions and allow time for proper healing Conditions that may require extra consideration or a consultation These do not automatically disqualify you. In most cases, we can still proceed with the right approach, clearance, or technique selection. Diabetes Clients with diabetes may be eligible if blood sugar levels are well controlled and healing is normal. Because healing can be slower and infection risk slightly higher, we may request doctor approval and recent A1C levels. Thyroid conditions or thyroid medication You can often still receive cosmetic brows. However, healing and pigment retention may be slower or more unpredictable, and additional touch-ups may be needed. Blood thinners / anticoagulant medications May be possible with doctor approval. These medications can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention. Oily skin or large pores You are still a candidate, you may heal softer and fade faster. Techniques such as Powder Brows, Nano (Digital) Brows, or combination brows often provide better long-term results. Mature skin Eligibility depends on skin condition and elasticity. Powder Brows are often the preferred option for smoother healing and longevity. History of scarring or keloids In some cases, tattooing may not be recommended. A consultation is required to determine safety. Skin conditions in the brow area Psoriasis / Eczema / Dermatitis If you’re experiencing an active flare-up, it’s best to wait until the skin has fully settled before treatment. Working on inflamed or compromised skin can lead to increased sensitivity, slower healing, and uneven pigment retention. Once the skin is calm and stable, results are typically more predictable and the healing process is much smoother. If you have a history of these conditions but your skin is currently clear, you may still be a candidate. When treatment should be postponed or avoided For safety reasons, we cannot perform cosmetic brow tattooing if you: • Are under 18 • Are pregnant or breastfeeding • Have an active infection, rash, blisters, or open skin in the brow area • Have conjunctivitis or any active eye infection • Are undergoing active cancer treatment or chemotherapy (doctor clearance required) • Have active skin cancer in the treatment area • Have communicable blood conditions such as HIV or hepatitis Not sure? Just ask. If any of the above applies to you, please reach out before booking. We’re happy to review your situation, answer questions, and recommend the safest technique and timing for your skin. Our goal is always natural, beautiful results and a smooth healing experience.
- 02While an allergy patch test isn’t mandatory for everyone, it can be crucial if you have sensitive skin or a history of allergies. If you're concerned about potential reactions, scheduling a consultation and patch test is highly recommended. Make sure to book your patch test at least 48 hours before your cosmetic brow tattoo appointment. Have You Experienced Allergic Reactions to Any of the Following? - Medications like Lidocaine, Tetracaine, Epinephrine, Dermacaine - Ingredients like Benzyl Alcohol, Carbopol, Lecithin, Propylene Glycol, Vitamin E Acetate - Substances such as Latex, Lanolin, Vaseline - Everyday items like cosmetics, medication, hair dyes, paints, color pencils, glycerin - Food, metals, or jewelry If you answered YES to any of these, a consultation and allergy patch test is essential to ensure your safety and the best possible outcome.
- 03A consultation appointment isn't required for everyone. However, it is highly recommended if you: - Have specific questions that aren’t answered on our website. - Have had previous tattoos or permanent makeup. - Have sensitive skin or allergies. What Does the Consultation Include? During your consultation, we will: Discuss Skin Conditions: We'll talk about your skin type and any conditions that may affect the procedure. Determine the Best Treatment for You: We’ll assess which brow technique is ideal for you based on your needs and skin type. Talk About Colors: We'll review color options and select the best shade for your brows. Talk About Design: We’ll design your dream brows based on your facial structure. Perform an Allergy Patch Test: For those with sensitive skin or allergy concerns. To help us create your perfect brows, bring a photo of your ideal brow design. With brow mapping, we’ll see how the design can be adapted to suit your facial features. Virtual Consultations Steps to Follow: To facilitate the assessment process, I kindly ask you to take the following steps: 1. Capture Clear Eyebrow Pictures: Take pictures of your eyebrows from the right side, left side, and a full-face photo. No make up, clean face. It's best to have someone assist you in taking the photos to ensure clarity. Natural lighting is preferable as it helps me evaluate the details accurately. (no selfies) 2. Submit Your Photos: Send your pictures to me via text +1 915 443 2769 or via email hola@debibrows.com. (hola@debibrows.com ) This will enable me to thoroughly evaluate what your eyebrows need. Or what your previous work looks like and discuss the possibilities for improvement or touch-up. 3. WhatsApp Communication: We will conduct the consultation via WhatsApp. Please download the app here (https://wa.me/message/6A66U24ABV6TG1)in advance to be ready. If an allergy patch test is required, we can send it to your address. Please note that this service incurs additional costs and needs to be scheduled at least 2 weeks before your treatment. Let us know if you’d like to proceed with a patch test.
- 04No, your consultation and cosmetic brow tattoo appointment cannot be on the same day. There needs to be a minimum interval of 2 days (48 hours) between the two appointments. This time is essential to allow for the results of the allergy patch test, which is performed during the consultation, to be fully evaluated. You are welcome to schedule your appointments at your convenience, as long as the 48-hour interval is observed. This ensures that we have enough time to assess your patch test results and proceed with the brow tattoo safely.
- 05If you have previously tattooed eyebrows, there are important factors to consider before booking a cosmetic brow tattoo. Here are the main concerns when working on pre-existing tattoos: 1. Limitations on Creative Freedom: - I cannot undo what has already been done. While I will do my best to re-work the shape and correct the color, I must work within the boundaries of your existing shape. This limits my ability to create a fully customized brow design. 2. Pigment Absorption Issues: - Scar tissue from previous tattoos, microblading, or tattoo removal can affect pigment absorption, leading to unpredictable results. 3. No Guaranteed Results: - Due to the complications that arise from working on pre-tattooed brows, I cannot guarantee the final results. It’s important to understand this risk before proceeding. 4. Fading Requirement: - Your previously tattooed or microbladed eyebrows must be at least 60% faded or barely visible for me to work on them. If the existing tattoo is too dark, a correction may not be possible. Approval Process: Before scheduling a treatment, you MUST get approval by submitting photos of your eyebrows: - Photo Requirements: - Take pictures of your eyebrows from the right side, left side, and full-face. - Ensure your face is clean and makeup-free. - Have someone assist you in taking the photos to ensure clarity. - Use natural lighting (no selfies, indoor lights, or flash). - Submission: - Send your photos via text message +19154432769 or email to hola@debibrows.com.(mailto:hola@debibrows.com) I will review them to determine if I can work with your previous tattoo and let you know if you're approved. - Booking: Once approved, book your appointment online. Important: If you arrive at your appointment with existing permanent makeup that was not disclosed or approved, I will be unable to proceed with your treatment. In this case, your deposit ($25) will not be refunded. Many previously tattooed brows cannot be covered or corrected, so pre-approval is essential. Thank you for your understanding.

- 11Yes, cosmetic brow tattoos can be effective for covering or concealing scars! However, it’s essential to have a consultation before your appointment to assess the type of scar and determine the most suitable treatment. Important Considerations: • Keloid Scars: These are not suitable for cosmetic brow tattoo treatments. • Fresh Scars: Avoid getting a brow tattoo over fresh scars, as they need time to heal properly. During your consultation, we will review your scars and discuss the best approach to achieve the desired results.

- 13Yes, you can absolutely use brow tint, pencils, pomades, and other makeup products on your eyebrows after your cosmetic brow tattoo has healed. Healing process takes aboutt 2 weeks or so. Just be sure to wait until the healing process is complete to ensure the best results and longevity of your tattoo.
- 14Results Are Not Guaranteed!!! Every skin type heals and retains pigment differently — which means results can vary from person to person. Factors like skin type, lifestyle, medications, and aftercare all play a big role. To achieve the best results, all brow treatments are considered a two-appointment process. The touch-up appointment is highly recommended. If you skip it, your treatment is only half done. When to Get Your First Touch-Up: • Schedule your first touch-up 4–6 weeks after your initial appointment. • Touch-ups are not included in the initial price and must be paid separately. • You have up to 3 months to complete this touch-up. After this period, touch-up pricing will change. Additional Touch-Ups: If you have oily skin, large pores, sensitive skin, or difficulty healing, you may need an additional touch-ups. Each session should be scheduled 4 weeks after your first touch-up. Again additional fees apply. Payment Information: All touch-up fees are separate from the initial treatment cost and are to be paid separately. Please Note: Permanent makeup results cannot be guaranteed, as every client’s skin, lifestyle, and healing process are unique. My goal is always to give you the most beautiful, long-lasting results possible — but your skin ultimately decides how the pigment heals. For more details about touch-ups, please check our blog (https://www.hausofdebi.com/post/touch-ups-for-new-clients)or read all about them here. - 15Microblading and Powder Brows (after touch-up): Typically last between 9 months to 1.5 years for most people. Digital Blading (after touch-up): Generally lasts from 1.5 to 2 years. Factors That May Affect Longevity: - Oily Skin, Large Pores, Frequent Swimming, Athletes, Smokers: These factors can reduce the longevity of your brow tattoo, with results lasting between 6 months to 12 months. Touch-Ups: - Recommended periodically for a color boost and to maintain the best appearance of your brows. -------- To ensure your cosmetic brow tattoo looks its best and lasts as long as possible, follow these essential aftercare tips: - Avoid Lotions on Brows: Do not apply any lotions or creams directly on your brows. - Steer Clear of Retinoids and Chemicals: Keep retinoids, serums, and harsh chemicals away from your eyebrows. - No Exfoliation Near Brows: Refrain from exfoliating the area around your eyebrows. - Use Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen on your brows to protect them from sun damage. - Monitor Exercise: Be cautious with excessive sweating and oil production, as these can affect the pigment. - Stop Smoking: Smoking can impact healing and the longevity of your brow tattoo. - Manage Brow Hair Growth: For excessive brow hair growth, schedule bi-monthly visits with Debi Brows for waxing to maintain your brow design. By following these tips, you’ll help protect and preserve your investment, keeping your brows looking beautiful for longer.
